Mets 7 - Nationals 3
The Mets hammered the Nationals tonight in Washington 7-3 powered by David Wright, Nick Evans and Lucas Duda who each homered. Wright's 3 run shot in the first gave RA Dickey a nice cushion to work with and NY never looked back. Duda's shot was a classic, lefty slugger bomb that crashed into the second deck down the right field line.
RA Dickey was not at his best but hung in for 6 innings earning the win. Call-ups Josh Stinson and Daniel Herrera were sharp out of the pen combining for the last six outs. Mets Blob loved seeing some new blood on the mound - particularly after watching DJ Carrasco and Ryota Igarashi almost blow the big lead.
