Mets 6 - Angeles 1

Pelf Dominates Angels:
Creampelf
&
The Happy Nightcap
Mike Pelfrey was dominant tonight throwing a complete game 5 hitter against the Angels at Citi Field. It was Mike's third straight start without walking a batter. Pelf looked settled tonight, with none of the histrionics he is known for. He stood tall on the mound and went at people, pounding the strike zone.
Beltran Bombs Bridge:
Carlos Beltran unloaded on a Dan Haren fastball for one of the longest homers Mets Blob has ever seen at Citi Field. After the game, Terry Collins spoke about Beltran's great play and his leadership, saying when Carlos speaks up the team listens.

Run, Run, Run:

The Mets ran wild on Haren, stealing five bases. Reyes stole twice with Pagan, Turner and Bay each swiping a bag.

The Mets go for the series win at 1:10pm tomorrow. Let's do it for Dad!

*The Mets are only 3.5 games back in the Wild Card race.
