In The Mind of Bochy

Giants 4 - Mets 3
In Angel Pagan’s first game back to Citi Field since being traded to San Francisco he took Jon Niese deep to left center in his second at bat. When asked if he felt the new dimensions aided his long ball Angel quickly replied; “Absoulutly. I found Jon’s new nose far less distracting and that made it easier to pick up the ball. I owe Beltran a steak.”
Despite a poor outing by Niese the Mets were able to keep the game close with solo home runs by Kirk “The Capitan” Nieuwenhuis and Jason Bay. Yes, the Blob said BAY. Great work by the pen and fantastic defensive plays by Nieuwenhuis and Daniel Murphy also helped keep the Mets within striking distance. Yes, the Blob said MURPHY.
With the Giants up 3-2 in the bottom of the 9th the Mets tied the game on a Josh Thole single that scored Jason Bay who lead off the 9th with a single. Yes, the Blob said BAY.
In the 10th a lead off walk and a possible bit of over managing by Terry Collins lead to the Giants going up 4-3. Terry was clearly influenced by watching Bruce Bochy over manage all night with his San Francisco Giant infantile gym ball of head that the Blob fears is harboring a retired and drunk Tony LaRussa.
In the bottom of the 10th Murphy and David Wright lead of the inning by each drilling back to back singles. Ike Davis grounded out for the 1st out advancing Murphy and Wright to second and third. With one out Jason Bay went back to his normal form of making no contact and struck out. A decent fly ball would have tied the game. The Mets last chance was up to Lucas Duda who originally had the night off but pinch-hit late in the game. Duda battled at the plate but finally flew out to center to end the game and gave the Giants the victory. The Mets have now dropped 4 of the last 5 games.
