In the Mets first season in 1962 the team won only 40 games and lost 120. It was one of the worst team records in MLB history. Now, we all know that you can never go by Spring Training numbers or stats. BUT...with the Mets only chalking up 7 wins so far this Spring in 35 games...if they carry this win/loss ratio in the regular season...they may only win 35 games all year! What a lovely tribute to the 62 team in this their 50th anniversary season.
