Mets 6 – Braves 14
The Braves put up 14 runs by scoring 2 or more every inning
but 2. The Mets offense tried to stay in the game but every time they got
within striking distance Atlanta keep piling on the runs vs. the Mets’ now
tattered bullpen.
A few rays of light for New York in the afternoon shit storm
were Kirk Nieuwenhuis going 3-4, with a walk and a RBI batting in the lead off
spot, as well as Murphy, Wright, Davis, and Duda all getting 2 hits a piece.
One of Ike’s was his 3rd bomb of the year.
After back to back horrific starts by Santana and Dickey,
the Mets (and their pen) will happily take the much needed day off to get ready
for their 4 home stand vs. San Francisco starting Friday night.
CALLING ALL BLOBBERS! CALLING ALL BLOBBERS!
With the Mets now at 7-5 on the year, do you think these
last 2 games are the beginning of the end of the Mets’ surprise hot start? Or
do you think they will be able to battle above the .500 mark and contended in
the NL East?
